David Barry Miller

David Barry Miller, age 72 of Lake Milton passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, December 20, 2021. He was born in Akron on October 26, 1949, the son of the late Richard N. and Gloria {Ladakis} Miller.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother Rick, sister Bonnie May Haught and nephew Matthew Haught.

David will be dearly missed by his love of 16 years, Jo Walsh; children David M. and Rachel M. Miller; brother Stephen; sisters Carol (Dave) and Andrea (Joe); sister-in-law Jennifer Miller; special nieces Courtnee and Rickell Miller; nephew Bryan Haught; many other loved family members and friends.

David was known in the surrounding five states for his expertise in all things flooring. He was an avid fisherman, and was on the Pro Bass Tour for several years. David was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served two tours in Vietnam. He loved to take Jo out for a spin on the hardwood, and was a talented dancer. David was a big NASCAR fan, and Dale Earnhardt Sr. was his favorite driver.

All are welcome to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, 44305 on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral services begin at 4:00 p.m. Following services, cremation will take place, and David will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd.
