David E. Miller
David E. Miller, 67, of Lakemore, passed away February 7, 2005 at Akron City Hospital. He was born September 13, 1937 in Valley City, Ohio to the late Ernest B. & Iva J. (Long) Miller and lived his life in Lakemore, Ohio. David was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served from 1954 - 1958. He was a member of Local 306, I.B.E.W. for 30 years, a lifetime member of Army-Navy #273, Mogadore Moose #1082, Mogadore V.F.W. 8487, V.F.W. #8975 and American Legion #566. David will be missed by many wonderful friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, William and Glenn Miller; and grandson, Jason Bennett. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Donna (Bell) Miller; daughters, Sharon (Ronald) Bennett, Kimberly Miller and Laureen (James) Dukes; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Jeanette) Miller; many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 - 9 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park with Army-Navy #273 providing military honors. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lakemore Fire Department.
