David Arthur Otey

David Arthur Otey, age 72, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on April 12, 2024 with his loving daughter Loren by his side. He was born in Akron on January 14, 1952 to the late Robert C. and Evelyn M. (Falasco) Otey, graduated from Walsh Jesuit High School and attended Kent State University. He had a career in sales and after retiring he served as a crossing guard for Price Elementary School in Cuyahoga Falls. He had a love for the Cleveland Guardians, Cleveland Browns, Notre Dame Fighting Irish and everything Disney. More than anything, his favorite thing was being a dad and grandpa. David had a major love of music and was always sharing that love with his relatives and friends.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Loren and Kenny Wolford; grandchildren Ellie and Nico Wolford; siblings Janet Wines, Kellie (Randy) Turner; nephew and nieces Dan Wines, Allyson Wines, Emily Buss; great-niece Taylor Buss and great-nephew Colton Buss; and other relatives and friends.

His wish was to be cremated and a Catholic Mass will be held at Guardian Angels Catholic Church during their daily mass on Tuesday June 25th at 8:00 AM.
