David P. Gainer, loving husband to Stefanie; devoted father to Kaylee and Mason. Dave left us doing one of his favorite things, riding his quad. Preceded in death by his brother, Brad; and grandfather, Willard H. Gainer. Dave leaves behind his mother and father, Susan & Jack Didado; father, Bill Gainer of IL; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tina & Randy Vaughn; father-in-law, Rich Johnson; brother-in-law, Eric Johnson (Jennifer); grandmother, Eva Gainer of IL; grandmother, Wanda Barnett; grandfather and grandmother, Paul & Joy Barnett; Aunt Paula & Uncle Chris; also so very many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Dave was recently employed at Buckeye Sports Center. Before that, he was employed at Norton Marine. Dave had a passion for racing quads and leaves many riding buddies behind who will greatly miss him as will we all. Family and friends may call Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Messner officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
