David A. "Dave" Posten

David A. Posten, 76, of Akron, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on May 17, 2024.
Dave was born on June 2, 1947 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, the son of the late Lonie and Geneva Posten.
He graduated from Kenmore High School in 1965, and went onto serve in the US Navy. He retired from AutoZone after many years of working in their sales department.
In his early days, Dave enjoyed drag racing and working on cars. He enjoyed target shooting with his late wife, Debbie and son, Mark. Dave was an avid gambler who loved going to the casino and most recently, playing the game Storm Fall on the computer. Above all, Dave cherished spending time with his grandson, Bentley.
Dave was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Deborah Posten; and brother, Gene Posten.
He will be deeply missed by his son, Mark A. (Melissa) Posten; daughter, Robin (Donnie) Posten; plus many others in the family that lived with Debbie and Dave who called them mom and dad including, Stacey Starrett and Anna Kimmel; grandchildren, Colin Posten, Bentley Posten, Marissa Tully and Devon Tully; and mother of his son, Charlotte Brenn.
Per Dave’s wishes, there will be no services. Cremation has taken place.
