David Price

David "Dave" Price, a husband, a father, Papaw, brother, friend and manufacturer's rep in the auto industry went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2023 at 4:31pm at the age of 63. Dave was born in Akron on May 30, 1959. He graduated from Field High School and Maplewood Career Center with knowledge in auto mechanics. He was a former employee of Carter Lumber, Summit Racing, and recent self employed sales and marketing agency. Dave had a strong passion for the auto industry and loved his Mopars. His personal qualities and passion made it easy for him to make many friends and to be well loved in the industry.

Dave was a devoted father, grandfather and husband. His grandchildren were his world. He loved his family time and loved family gatherings. He loved talking to his siblings and tried talking to each of them every day. He was a very loving and caring man that would put others first no matter what he was going through. He was a spiritual man, and a great influence to his children.

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Sheal Price; his children, Travis Price, Cody Price, and Makayla Rice; his son-in-law, Dane Rice; his grandchildren Beckham and Cayson Price, Braelynn and Braxton Rice; his siblings, Debbie Beers, Stephanie Proudfoot, Allen Price, Mindy Mann, and Charles Price. He is now with his father, Virgil Price and mother, Gloria Price.

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, January 16, 2023 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will take place Tuesday, January 17 at 11 a.m. at Mogadore Baptist Church, 3750 Albrecht Ave. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
