David Wesley Rouse

David Wesley Rouse, 73, of Akron, passed away on June 19, 2024. He was born in Akron on August 12, 1950 to the late Richard and Jessie Rouse. Dave spent his entire career as a bus driver for Akron Metro. He also was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran.
In his free time, Dave enjoyed the outdoors. He had many fond memories at Goodyear Heights Metropark and fishing at Mogadore Reservoir. Dave loved going out to eat and meeting with friends. If you met Dave, you had a friend for life. He was so kind to everyone.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his siblings, Tim, Kathy, and Jesse Rouse; and brother-in-law, Dragi Nesich.
Dave will be dearly missed by his daughter, Valerie Rouse; brother, Richard Rouse; sister, Jennifer Nesich; nephews, Kevin and Adam Rouse; and extended family and friends.
Family and friends are welcome to visit on Friday, July 5, 2024 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm from at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Dave will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 9:15am.
