David J. Shilinski
November 14, 1952 — March 16, 2018
David J. Shilinski, 65, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on March 16, 2018. He graduated from Garfield High School and worked at St. Edwards Assisted Living. He enjoyed baseball games, cookouts, boating, listening to Pink Floyd, spending time with his family, and taking road trips.
David was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Shilinski. He leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Jessica (Nick) Mongold and Jennifer (Phil) Dolinar; granddaughter, Kylie Mongold; sisters, Debbie and Roseann. Special thanks to Harbor Light Hospice for their care.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday March 20, 2018 from 1-3pm with the funeral service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Pastor Robert Shank officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Harbor Light Hospice.
