David Samuel Turndick, 69, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 21, 2024. He was born in Akron, Ohio on May 17, 1955 to the late Louis C. and Esther F. Turndick. After graduating from Garfield High School in 1974, he began his journey in the IT field, teaching himself skills and earning certifications that eventually brought him to his current position as Senior ICT Release Coordinator at Case New Holland Global.
David had a lifelong passion for music. In his younger days, he ran sound and light systems for major musical acts and local bands and he loved to play guitar in his free time. His creative spirit also led him to develop a website where he sold his computer generated art. He also enjoyed following politics and engaging in spirited debate.
Although David was a homebody, he still managed to maintain meaningful relationships via social media with his beloved family and countless friends. He lived his life by faith in Christ, and was very devoted to Living Fellowship Church in the Chicago area, which he helped develop nearly thirty years ago.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Georgina Bertele.
He will be dearly missed by his sister, Vicki Murdocco; brother, Louis C. Turndick II (Christine); nieces and nephews, Damian Boyle (Pam), Angela Gilchrist, Louie Turudich, Abraham Turndick (Ashley), Tina Turndick, and Samuel David Turndick; great-niece, Hailey; and great-nephew, James X. He also leaves countless friends around the world.
A memorial for David will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024 at 7:30 p.m., hosted at North Point Apostolic Church, 3544 Verner Rd., Stow/Kent, Ohio 44240. All are welcome to come and share their memory(ies) in a Celebration of David's Life.
