Dean A. Pratt, age 43, passed away Nov. 26, 2008. Dean had a strong compassion for the mentally challenged and disabled and worked in that field for 20 years. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor and love of those around him. He is survived by his daughters, Courtney, Morgan, and Sydney; loving companion, Linda McKee; mother and step-father, Judy and Ed Abdulla; father, Ray Pratt; grandmother, Marie Jernigan; grandfather, Charles Jernigan; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Calling hours will be Monday, Dec 1, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a celebration of Dean's life will take place at 2 p.m.
