Dean L. Romano "Uncle Dean"
5-31-1943 to 11-18-2010
On November 18, 2010, Dean left this earthly world to join his parents, Bernardo and Beulah and his brother, Ben (Sonny) in Heaven. Dean proudly served our country in the United States Army. He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 31 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Army Navy Garrison #102. He was also a member of the American Legion. Dean was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan. Survivors include his loving wife, Mary; daughter, Nikki (Robb) Chambers; Nikki's loving mother, Norma and precious grandson, Jack chambers. Also surviving is stepson, Ken Corple; stepdaughter, Barbara (Darron) Anderson; brother-in-law, Griff (Linda) Sweet; sister-in-law, Shirley (Chief) Simmons; grandchildren, McKenzi, Krista, Kenny Jr.; great-grandchildren, Ahnna and Chloe. There are truly angels among us, they have been with Dean the past several weeks. Special thanks to Jeff Jackson and Lynnette. Calling hours will be Monday, 3-6 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service immediately following at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Akron.
