Deanna R. Thomas, 64, died on Tuesday, November 16, 2004, after a six month illness. She lived most of her life in the Akron area. She is preceded in death by brother, Harvey Cannon. She is survived by husband, Gary L. Thomas; daughter, Rebecca Sterling of Tallmadge; daughter and son-in-law, Liz and David Remmy of Akron; two grandchildren, Matthew and Sarah Remmy; sister and brother-in-law, Junett and Gary Venus of Massillon; brother, David Cannon of Akron; three nephews, Curt, Bryan and Chad Venus; best friends, Gene Cunningham and Jane Lovsey. The family will receive friends TODAY from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Beaty officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
