Deborah Ann Hayes, 68, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 21, 2021. A lifelong Akron resident, she was born August 9, 1952 to parents Kenneth and Lorraine Hayes. Debbie was a prankster and enjoyed spending time with her "crazy nephew" Mike. She also enjoyed cross stitching and provided many of her works as gifts to her family. Debbie liked a challenging jigsaw puzzle, Sudoku and attempting to beat her brother-in-law John at Euchre. She was famous for her deviled eggs and her pasta salad. Debbie never missed an episode of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Barbara Hayes; and great-nephew, Tyler Jon Allen.
She is survived by her siblings, Linda (Jay) Small, Roger (Glenna) Hayes, Barbara (John) List and Tina (John) West; nephews, Michael Malinsky, John Allen and Nicholas Shook; nieces, Ann Marie Morey, Jennie Bloniarz, Dr. Tracey Hayes and Courtney Shook; great-nephews, Jacob Richardson, Brant Allen, Max Malinsky and Zach Malinsky; great-nieces, Aubre Allen, Kate Malinsky and Taylor Allen; and neighbor and good friend, Pauline Williams.
A private interment will be held at a later date.
