Deborah K. Ickes
Deborah K. Ickes, 53, of Akron, passed away September 21, 2008 at her residence. She was born January 24, 1955 in Akron, Ohio to the late Richard & Delores (Doyle) Swigert. Deborah was a member of the Hibernian Club and also was a Captain of the Block Watch Committee. She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Larry Ickes of Akron; step-son, Mark A. Walters II of Akron; sister, Marge (David) Cummings of Tallmadge; very beloved niece and nephew who were like her own children, Jodie Licata of Woodbridge VA and David Cummings III of Cleveland OH; grandchildren, Brandon and Julian. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
