Deborah J. Manke

January 12, 1956 — September 4, 2022

Deborah J. Manke, 66, passed away September 4, 2022 after facing multiple health struggles simultaneously. Born in Akron, Ohio to Samuel and Eloise (Crawford) Shrader, she was a lifelong area resident. Debbie was a member of Bridge Bible Church and previously belonged to Temple Baptist in Green, Milheim Baptist, and Chapel of Prayer. She participated in choir, worship team, Ladies Bible Study and Kids Choir and plays. She worked for many years as an accountant, most notably at Thomas Asphalt. She enjoyed crafting, hand and machine quilting, and attending Southern gospel concerts with friends.

Debbie sang in a quartet with her father, traveling throughout Ohio and West Virginia. Later she sang in a Ladies Trio cutting two CDs. After her doctors put her on 24/7 oxygen they told her she probably would not be able to sing. In spite of this and with hearing aids, Debbie continued to sing in the trio and with the church worship team.

Debbie and husband, Al, were a steadfast and hardworking part of the core team that planted Bridge Bible Church in Brimfield.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Al. She will be sadly missed by brothers, Wayne (Micki) Shrader, Michael Shrader; step children, Al (Lori) Manke III, Bill (Sarah) Manke, Mary Manke; grandchildren, Lila, Hazel, Otto; church grandchildren, Allie, Seth, Zeke, Ivan; all the sisters and brothers from church who loved her.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Debbie's Life will take place Saturday September 10, 2022 at 11 am at Bridge Bible Church, 1050 W. Main St, Kent, Ohio 44240. Those who wish may make memorial donations to Bridge Bible Church.
