Deborah Jane "Debbie" Pennington

Deborah J. "Debbie" Pennington, 71, of Akron, passed away on June 5, 2024. She was born on December 1, 1952 to the late Thomas Graham and Shirley {Marone} Jolliffe.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years Les Hollingsworth.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Daniel Pennington; daughters Leslie (Brian) Powell and Laura Canada (Vik); step-daughters Shannon (Scott) Jackovitch and Danielle Hoover (Tommy); grandchildren Emily, Trevin, Josey, Jordan, Brody, Belle, Natalie, Macy and Danica; sisters, Pam Rybka and Sheri Mueller; brother Bob (Julie) Graham; best friend Darlene.

Debbie was a loving wife and mother, but her favorite title was Mimi. She loved the beach, sitting on her porch watching the activity on Portage Lakes, and an ice cold Pepsi. Debbie was an animal lover, and her pets Harley, Samantha, Peanut and Shelby brought her much joy.

Per Debbie's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private celebration will be held for her family. Donations in Debbie's name may be made to: One of a Kind Pet Rescue .
