Deborah Sue Weitzel, 74, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on November 7, 2024. She was born on September 29, 1950 to the late Dale and Pauline Weitzel.
In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her brother David Weitzel.
Deborah is survived by her loving children Wade "Eric" (Libby) McFarland, Lara (Ronny) Perkins, Chad (Ruth) McFarland, Seth (Wendy) McFarland, Anna (Justin) Kossuth, Hope Rechenmacher, Jon Rechenmacher and Sarah (Michael Sylvester) Rechenmacher; grandchildren Caleb (Madi) Perkins, Noah Perkins, Grace Perkins, Ella McFarland, Tessa McFarland, Calynn McFarland, Aiden McFarland, Joshua McFarland, Matthew McFarland, Alexander Kossuth, Benjamin Kossuth, Gavin Stennett and Millie Sylvester; great-granddaughter Poppy Perkins; brother Gary Weitzel; sister Terry (Sue) Weitzel.
Deborah adored all animals, especially her two cats Kiara and Zack. With a kind soul, she could strike up a conversation with anyone wherever she went, and always had a friendly smile. She loved to "have her hands in the dirt" gardening and caring for her flowers, spending time with her loved ones, and attending church. Deborah was generous and truly selfless, with thoughtful gestures, prayers and hugs.
Deborah displayed and shared her love for Jesus every day, and was a devoted prayer warrior for her family and friends. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart, and they will always cherish her memory.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Thursday, November 14th from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service that begins at 2:00 p.m. Following services, Deborah will be cremated, and a celebration of her life will be planned for a later date.
