Delma Ruth Strange, age 62 of Warren, Ohio, died on April 24, 2020 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, losing her battle with covid-19.
She was born on November 18, 1957 in Warren, the daughter of Donna Mae Younger Lawrence of Leavittsburg, Ohio and the late William Lawrence.
Delma was a 1976 graduate of LaBrae High School where she was very active in softball and track. She was also an active member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder of the church, a Sunday school teacher and director of Junior Church and Vacation Bible School. Delma was also a secretary for both Calvary and Covenant Presbyterian Churches for many years.
Other than her mother, Delma is survived by her daughter, Faith Strange, with whom she lived; her grandchildren, Abbagail Strange and Ethen-Alan Crist both of Warren; her two sisters, Kimberly O'Connor of Warren and Billie (Daniel) Marsh of Warren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, Delma was preceded in death by her husband, David Alan Strange on August 7, 2012, they were united in marriage on May 16, 1981; and her sisters, Becky Long and Bonnie Cottrell.
All calling hours and services are private and cremation will take place, Pastor David Black will celebrate Delma's life.
