Delmar W. Pursley, Sr.
Delmar W. Pursley, Sr., 78, of Akron, passed away November 17, 2007 at Akron City Hospital. He was born April 27, 1929 in Akron, Ohio to the late Charles and Katherine Pursley. He was a veteran of the Army and served during the Korean War. Delmar is one of nine children who are all now deceased. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Joann whom he married on November 17, 1951; his 3 children, Delmar W. Jr. (Barbara), Steven W. (Diana), Jeffery (Shona); 6 grandchildren. Delmar lived, loved and now is in the arms of Jesus forevermore. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jonathan Carey officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
