Delmas W. Gray

Delmas W. "Del" Gray, 69, passed away on June 20, 2012. Del was born on July 20, 1942 in Cowen, WV, to the late James Gray and Eileen Dixon. He resided in Cowen until enlisting in the Army in 1960. After his service in the Army, he re-located to Akron. Del retired from Cargill Salt Co. with over 25 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, feeding the squirrels, working in his garden and yard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Otis; and stepson, Robert Boyle. Survivors include his wife, Carol; daughters, Janet Gray, Debbie (P.J.) Milletti, Denise (Ray) Lewis, Jennifer Smeiles; sister, Charlotte (Louis) Burns; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Monday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., Dr. Michael Thomas officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
