Delores Slaughter, 78, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016. Delores was born on May 27, 1938 in Charleston, West Virginia to Owen and Anna Mae Jones. She was a devoted wife to George for 43 years before his passing. Delores enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving,caring mom to all who knew her.

Delores is preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Llewellyn; brother; Bob Jones

She is survived by her children; Katee Davey, Ernest Tate, Clyde Tate,Cindi Wolfarth, Georgiana Miller; sibling, Owen Jones, Owen Jones Jr., Ernie Jones; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss Delores dearly.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron Chapel,131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, Ohio 44305. A Memorial service will follow.

A private burial will take place at Hillside Memorial Park.
