Delores Davis

Delores Davis, 92, of Akron, OH passed away on December 10, 2020. She was born to parents Basil and Myrtle Dalton on May 16, 1928 in Somerset, KY.

Preceding her in death is her husband of 48 years, Lytle "Gene" Davis; and daughter-in-law, Denise Davis.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Donald Davis, Darlene (Bob) Fankhauser, Darrell (Becci) Davis, Debra (Tom) Miller; 14 grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren; her surviving siblings and other relatives.

Delores was an amazing and loving mother, taking care of her family and her husband was her main priority. She loved flowers, cooking and was very involved in her church. Delores was a second mom to all of the neighborhood kids and will be dearly missed.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron from 4pm-6m with a service at 6pm. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Hillside Memorial Park.

For the safety of the Davis family and their guests, masks are required along with social distancing.
