Delores L. "Dee or Sissy" Porter, age 74 of Hartville, Ohio, died on April 11, 2023.
She was born on June 30, 1948 in Elizabeth, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Harvey and Mardella (nee Tanner) Ledsome.
Dee was in restaurant management at the Fairmont Field Club in Fairmont, WV; manager at Congress Lake Country Club; and she also worked at Smither's Oasis until retirement.
Dee's hobby was making Christmas boxes for the homeless and needy and handed them out during the holiday. She was a great cook, preparing meals for weddings and other gatherings. Dee loved animals as well, however her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Porter; her children, Patricia Orsborn (fiance, Charles W. Poley Jr.), Jesse (Rhonda) Martin and Merton (Jennifer) Martin; her grandchildren, Latisha McHoney, Chase (Marci) Martin, Joel Orsborn, Zachary (Hannah) Martin, Cody Martin, Kiernan Snider (fiance, Madison Stumbaugh), Jesse Martin, Gabriel Martin and Gideon Martin; and her great grandchildren, Calisha, Takia, Devante, Delaya, Shay, Sophie and Silas; and one great-grandchild (Hazel) and one great-great-grandchild, both on the way.
Surviving also are her step-children, Trevor (Gabriella) Porter, Erin (Kevin) Krieg, Nathaniel Porter and Seth Porter; and her step-grandchildren, Alexander Porter, Colin Porter, Cooper Krieg, Kensey Krieg and Rose Porter.
Dee is also survived by her siblings, Paul (Peggy) Ledsome, Cecil (Shelia) Ledsome, Harry Ledsome, Donald (Debbie) Harrold and Richard (Karen) Harrold.
Other than her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her son, Michael Martin; and her siblings, Eugene Ledsome, Fred Ledsome, Bill Ledsome and Sue Martin.
Private visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305.
After all visitation Delores will be cremated.
