Delores "De" Jean Pryor, age 90, of Cedartown, GA, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021.
Delores was born October 28, 1931 in Akron, OH. She was a graduate of North High School and raised her family in Suffield, OH.
Delores was employed with Ohio Bell, then retired as a secretary from Rootstown High School. Her hobbies were painting, arts, playing cards, dancing and golf. She was a very caring, independent and feisty lady. Delores could strike up a conversation with anyone she met and was always willing to lend a listening ear.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Richard "Lefty" Pryor, Sr.; parents, Ralph Foster and Maysell Wolfe Daniels; sister, Joyce Hulmes.
Delores is remembered warmly by everyone that knew her. Her life was centered around her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Rick Pryor, Jr. (Penny), Diana Price (Lyn Worley); grandchildren, Lee Pryor (Miranda), Breanna Lee (Ryan), Ericka Ansell (Stephen Mattucci); great grandchildren, Andrew Pryor, Sarah Harper Lee, Alexis Ansell, Aiden Rice; siblings, Judy Martin, Fred Daniels, several nieces, nephews and friends. Delores will be greatly missed by all.
Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
