Delores J. Ruble

Delores J. Ruble, "Dorey" or "Dee", age 87, of McConnelsville, Ohio, formerly of Akron, Ohio, died on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at her home.

She was born on February 23, 1931 in Norwalk, Ohio, the daughter of the late Walter and Viola (nee Thompson) Chapman.

Delores was a homemaker and enjoyed doing many things. A few of her hobbies was playing bingo and cards. She also liked to knit and crochet. Dee also sang and played the piano. But her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Theresa E. (Dale) Moore, Kenneth R. Ruble, Curtis E. (Hazel) Ruble, Clyde A. (Joanne) Ruble, and Juanita Sue (Aaron) Worden; a host of grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and a host of nieces and nephews and their families.

Other than her parents, Dorey is preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond C. Ruble on July 13, 1998, they were united in marriage on August 20, 1949; her son, Roland R. Ruble; one great-grandson, Everett Ruble; her siblings, Ralph Chapman, Ruby Pavkov, Clarence Chapman, James Chapman, Richard Chapman, and Ivan Chapman.

Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Thursday, at 1:00 PM, May 31, 2018 where family and friends may visit on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

Delores will be buried next to her husband in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron.
