Delores J. Sharp, 88 1/2 years young, went to her heavenly home on January 25, 2021. Born in Johnson City, TN on June 22, 1932 to the late Charles Sidney and Pernecy Sarah (nee Thompson) Gibson. Surviving is her brother, Phillip (Sheila) Gibson. Her deceased siblings were Charles Wayne Gibson and Emma Charlene Gibson.
At the young age of sixteen she married the love of her life, our dad, the late Edsel Waco Sharp. Born to them were three children, Phyllis (Terry) Lawson, Glen Sharp and Cheryl (Earl) Cox. She had seven grandchildren, Michael, Bonnie, Mindy, Natalie, Denny, Anna and Jason; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Also surviving is her "Precious Child" her four legged 5 pound pomeranian, whom she dearly loved.
Retiring from Roadway Express, she then continued to enjoy life with her two pot belly pigs, "Precious and Little Mite" also "Waco" her other four legged pomeranian, all deceased.
She was a member of The Trinity Church of God, (Pastor Fred Webb). She was a true testimony and by her faith in God, she was granted many miracles that allowed her to touch others for His name sake.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Cremation will take place, per her wishes. Her cremated remains will be taken to the family cemetery in Watauga, TN.
