Delva E. Channell
Delva E. Channell, 81, went to be with her Lord on December 10, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of Grace Cathedral for over 50 years. Delva was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bennie; son, Michael; parents, Eddy and Rachel Sothen; brothers, Herman, Gilbert, Harry, Norman and Russell; and sister, Darlene. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Willi (Jack) Mitchell; sons, Don (Dawn), Ron (Pam) and David; grandchildren, Samantha, Jacquie (Dave), Cindy (Don) and Michelle (Jason); great-grandchildren, Brittney, Brett, Cody, Kennedy, Brooke, Blake, Andrea' and Chase; sisters, Eva and Minnie; and many other family members and friends. Calling hours will be held Sunday, December 13, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 14, at 12 noon at Grace Bible College with a visitation one hour prior. Rev. Brock Miller will officiate. Interment to follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
