Dena Mae Daiger

Dena Mae Daiger, 71, of Barberton, passed away on December 25, 2021. Dena was born in Akron on April 10, 1950 to the late John and Ruth Daiger. She was baptized as a teenager at Lakeview Church of Christ and graduated from Springfield High School. Dena was an excellent bowler and participated in semipro leagues at Riviera Lanes for many years. She also loved animals. Her dogs Muffer, Tank, and Casey were like children to her. Dena will always be remembered for her caring and generous spirit.
In addition to her parents, Dena was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry, John, and Ronny Daiger; and sister, June Redd. She will be dearly missed by her sister, Thomalie Anker; nieces and nephews, Aimee (Simon), Jay (Dana), Sandy (Jason), Ricky, Joey, Mary Dawn, Sherri, and Cheryl; great-nieces and great-nephews, Mitchell, Macey, Monty, Karli, and Kyle; and many close friends including Debbie Gruic and Ann Behra.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 10-12 followed by a 12 noon funeral service with Rev. Jim Gindlesberger officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Manchester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one's local Humane Society.
