Dennis Michael Cetrone Sr., 78, of Akron, passed away peacefully at home on March 13, 2022. He was born in Barberton on February 7, 1944 to the late Andrew and Julia Cetrone. Dennis proudly served in the U.S. Army. For many years, he worked alongside his parents at Best Shoe Clinic in Barberton. Dennis and his father ran the business and did repair work while his mother worked as a seamstress. Dennis continued to work in several different fields before retiring from the Wedgewood Acme a few months ago. In his free time, Dennis enjoyed golfing, racquetball, and rooting for Cleveland sports teams and Ohio State.
Dennis was a previous member of Springfield Assembly of God where he sang in the choir and a current member of Living Word Church where he was a song leader.
Dennis will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 34 years, Juanita; children, Vickie (William) Desatnik, Dennis (Heather) Cetrone Jr., and Kenneth Cetrone; brothers, Andy Cetrone and Ed Cetrone; sisters-in-law, Betty Rhinehart, Janet Rhinehart, and Patricia Shaffer; grandchildren, Lindsie (Jaryn), Kaylee, Dante, Andrew, Victoria, Julia, and Kody; great-grandchildren, Kaysen and Baker; many other special relatives and friends.
Dennis also leaves his beloved cat, Nateaka.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 10:30-12:30 followed by a 12:30 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
