Dennis "Denny" L. Semick, Sr.
Dennis "Denny" L. Semick, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on April 12, 2010, while surrounded by family. He was born March 5, 1942, to Steve and Mary Semick in Akron, OH, where he lived in the area the majority of his life. Preceded in death by both his parents, and his sister, Stephanie. He is survived by his wife, Judith Semick; sister, Mary Lou (Don) Brandhuber; his 4 boys, Denny Jr., Darrin (Rosalie), Darrell (Michelle), D.J., and their mother, Charlotte Semick, of Florida; along with Judy's children, Eric Burch and Katie (Carl) Allen; and numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren. He is retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company where he worked in research for many years. He was a big baseball fan and coached baseball in Cuyahoga Falls, as well as being a Summit County umpire for 20+ years. Denny was a great husband, father, grandfather, and brother, as well as a respected man in the community. He will be deeply missed by many a family and friends. There will be an informal memorial service/wake rejoicing Denny's life, with Rev. Nan Taylor officiating. Memorial will be held at Denny Jr.'s house on Thursday, April 15, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. at 1771 Issaquah St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
