Dennis Allen Lemons

Dennis "Denny" A. Lemons, 71, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 28, 2023 after an extended illness.

Denny was born in Akron, Ohio where he spent his entire life. He was a kind and generous man who greeted everyone with a smile and hug, and made those around him feel comfortable and appreciated. He retired from the Akron Beacon Journal as a Circulation District Manager after 32 years of service.

Denny was an avid horse racing fan. He enjoyed playing poker and golfing with his special group of life-long friends, and rooting for the Cleveland Indians, Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. He treasured his outings to various local casinos with his wife Tammy.

Preceded in death by his parents Dan and Donna Lemons, grandmother Lucille Decker, and special nephew Johnny Faulks; he is survived by his loving wife of 18 years Tammy; children Amanda, Alysha and Anthony; grandchildren Addison and Arianna; sisters Danette (Butch) Kilmire and Dotty Martin and brother Dan; his sister and brother-in-law Wendy and Matthew Rittenhour, and numerous nieces and nephews.

At the request of Denny, cremation and celebration of life for family and close friends has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cleveland Clinic Hospice Center. To leave a special message for Denny's family, please visit the guestbook below.
