Dennis Michael Rogers

Dennis Michael Rogers, known to many as "Mike", 56, of Akron, passed away July 6, 2014, surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous and prolonged battle with cancer. He was born in Akron, Ohio on February 26, 1958 to Donald and Alta Rogers. Mike graduated from Ellet High School in 1977 and worked for many years as a Dental Technician. Mike accepted his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He had a passion in life for fishing, always enjoyed his time with family, and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever called upon.

Mike was preceded in death by Father Donald Rogers, Jr., Grandparents; Dennis and Dorothy Woods and Don and Vera Rogers. He is survived and will be dearly missed by Mother, Alta Rogers, Sister, Sharon Powers, Brother, Jeffrey (Carol) Rogers, Brother, Donald (Jennifer) Rogers, III, Nieces; Haley Powers and Pamela Rogers; and many cherished Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and dear Friends. Special thanks to everyone at Hospice Care Center in Copley for their outstanding attention and care.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
