Dennis R. Mooney

Dennis R. Mooney, 63, of Brimfield, passed away October 27, 2018. Dennis was born in Streetsboro, Ohio on July 10, 1955 to the late Arthur and Edith Mooney. Dennis was a dedicated employee of the Postal Service where he worked at the Akron location on Wolf Ledges for many years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hiking, camping and having bonfires with family and friends. Dennis was also a Jeep enthusiast and enjoyed driving with the top down. Dennis was an artist of many mediums and was proud to share his gift of drawing with is children. He was a strong, kind and generous man who loved his children and adored his wife, and was a great friend to many. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his loving wife Susan Mooney, whom he would have shared their 40th wedding anniversary with on Oct. 14.

He is survived by children, Matthew M. Mooney, Ashlee N. Mooney and Eric D. Mooney; brothers, Arthur "Chuck" Mooney and Dave (Malinda) Mooney; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 1-4 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, where funeral services will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 11 am. He will be laid to rest with his wife at Restland Cemetery.
