Dennis E. Phillips

Dennis E. Phillips, 75, passed away on March 29, 2024. He was born in Akron, Ohio on September 6, 1948 to the late Earl and Elaine Phillips. Denny graduated from Ellet High School before attending the University of Akron. Denny was drafted into the U.S. Army and honorably served in Vietnam. Upon his return home, he joined his father and brother, working for an automotive paint supplier. In the early 1990s, he also owned the restaurant Dilly's on Triplett Blvd.
Denny led a simple, quiet life. In his free time, he loved to golf with family and friends and he always had a fondness for the beach and ocean. He was a wonderful person and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
Denny is survived by his brother, Randy (Nancy) Phillips; fiancee, Shellie Mollohan; daughters, Alisha (Jeremy) Evans and Stephanie Gregory; six grandchildren; several beloved nieces and nephews.
Per Denny's wishes, there will not be any public services. His family will celebrate his life privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Denny may be made to The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation at themmrf.org.
