Dennis George Wilson

Dennis George Wilson, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 14, 2017 at 2:00am. He lost his battle with cancer and went home to his Lord and Savior. Born January 1, 1938 in Akron, Ohio, he was preceded in death by his parents Eileen Schafer and George Wilson. Dennis was a U.S. Army veteran. After coming home from the service he worked many years at the B.F. Goodrich Company. Dennis loved to travel, especially in the Blue Ridge Mountains and Europe. He was a loving and caring husband and father. He was a father figure to all. His passion was reading books and talking about the movies. He leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years, Bruna, and his dedicated children, Erik G. Wilson and Christine (Erick), Jonke; brothers, Ronnie (Betty) and Marlin (Charlene); sister, Susan (Bill) Witwer; cousin and friend, Gary Loucks; and many others.

A memorial service will be held at 6pm on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with visitation from 4-6pm.
