Denny E. Tingler, 81, passed away April, 22, 2019 at his home after a long battle with kidney disease. He was born on September 2, 1937 in Ritchie County, WV to H. G. and Goldie (Burrows) Tingler. He resided in Akron most of his adult life and really enjoyed fishing, cooking, watching NASCAR and WWE wrestling. Denny was a U. S. Army Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict and he retired from the Tecumseh Corrugated Box Co after 25 years of service.
In addition to his parents, Denny is preceded in death by great grandson, Caleb S. Huffman. He will be sadly missed by cousin, Thelma Shilts; daughter, Mary (Dennis) Jones; sons, Denny (Bonnie), Marvin (Tinker); many grandchildren and several great grandchildren; other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 26th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH. The funeral service will take place Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. David Fisher officiating. Interment will follow at Uniontown Greenlawn Cemetery.
