Densel "Denny" Calvin Williams, 92, passed away peacefully March 3, 2017. He was born in Lobelia, West Virginia on May 14, 1924 to the late Allie and A.G. Williams. Sgt. Williams was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, 6th Marine Division, having served in Okinawa and Guadal Canal. He retired as a Teamster from Roadway Express in 1989 and was a member of Community Baptist Temple, Mogadore Moose and Masonic (Shriner) Wayfarer Lodge #789.
In addition to his parents, Denny is now reunited with his wife, June Rose Williams, and sister, Audrey Howard-Perry.
He will be dearly missed by his children, Karen (John) Wagner, Rodney Williams (Paula Warner), Allen Williams (Sheila), Steve (Mary) Williams, Michael (Laura) Williams, Sharen Franklin (Jim); step-children, Shareen (Randy) Parshall, Janelle (Robert) Arnold and Scott (Tracey) Shepard; grandchildren, Matthew (Carly) Stewart, Sherri (Ted) Harger, Heather (Brian) Kaiser, Brooke (Joe) Trizzino, Ryan (Stephanie) Williams, Shanna, Alex, Hunter, Camden and Brennan Williams, Cory, Emma and Marisa Shepard, and 21 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 5:30-8 pm with a Masonic service at 7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11 am with Pastor Mark O'Donnell officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 1 pm.
