Denver Harold Truman, 91, of Norton, passed away on October 15, 2018.
He was born in Swandale, West Virginia on April 26, 1927 to the late Creed and Daisy Truman.
Denver proudly served in the U.S. Army and retired from Wright Tool and Forge after 36 years of service. Denver loved spending time in his garden and sharing his vegetables with others.
In addition to his parents, Denver was preceded in death by his sisters, Anna Belle Wilson and Peggy Ross; and brother, Chester Truman. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 69 years, Carol Truman; children, Richard (Nancy) Truman, Rocky (Iris) Truman Sr., Nannette Babak, Meriam Lamb, and Zachary Bergdorf; siblings, Euna Marie Cruickshanks, Shelva (Ron) Mihalis, Jarrell (Linda) Truman, and Jennifer (Raymond) Cruickshanks; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 4:30-6:30 followed by a 6:30 p.m. memorial service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Denver will be privately laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date. Because of Denver's love of gardening, please consider planting a garden in his honor.
