Derald George Crewes

Derald G. Crewes, age 77 of Alliance passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022. He was born in Lansing, MI on April 3, 1944, the son of the late Joseph and Juanita {Wood} Crewes.
In addition to his parents, Derald was preceded in death by his son Michael and his brother Rick.
Derald will be dearly missed by his wife of over 40 years, Betty; son Marc Crewes; grandchildren Maria and Joshua Crewes; half brothers Richard (Tammy) Crewes and Wayne (Martha) Apel; sisters-in-law Judy Crewes and Jean (Danny) Derreberry; nephew Joey Crewes; extended family and friends.
Derald retired from Goodyear after 41 years of service as a machinist. He was a crew chief for a motorcycle race team; together they broke 12 land speed records and held numerous national titles, including a 24-hour Le Mans motorcycle endurance race. Derald's ingenuity created inventions that brought home a win for their team. His passion for motor vehicles extended to his love of cars, especially street rods.
Per Derald's wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no formal services. A celebration of his life will take place at a later, warmer date. To leave a message for Derald's family, please scroll below.
