Dewey L. Stillwell

Dewey L. Stillwell, 90, went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2007. Dewey was born on April 21, 1917 in Raven, Virginia to the late Joseph and Selina Stillwell. He moved to Akron in 1942 where he later met Margie Measell at Goodyear Aircraft. Dewey and Margie were married on their lunch hour on May 6, 1944. The very next day, they joined Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church and have been members ever since. Dewey was a lifetime member of the Masons Joppa Lodge and had 3400 volunteer hours at Edwin Shaw. He retired from Goodyear Research in 1980 and served as an usher at Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church. Dewey always had kind words about everyone and never complained. He was happiest being with his grandchildren and wintering in Naples, FL. Dewey leaves his wife of 63 years Margie R.; son Edward and wife Audrey; grandchildren Bradley and wife Barbie and Jenette and fiancé Jonathan Leonino; and great-grandson Daniel Wesley. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Falls Village Retirement Center and Harbor Light Hospice Services. Calling hours will be Sunday, 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N.
