Diana "Grammy" Davis
Diana "Grammy" Davis, 55, of Akron, passed away April 24, 2005 at Akron City Hospital. She was born July 28, 1949 in Oak Hill, Ohio and lived in Akron her entire life. Diana was employed by AA Blueprint for the last 14 years and in her spare time loved Bingo, shopping and the Cleveland Browns. Diana was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Robert Davis; father, William Gray; and mother-in-law, Agnes Davis. She is survived by her daughters, Kellie Van Pelt (Jeff), Denise (Scott) Cheatwood; son, Travis Van Pelt; mother, Marilyn (Kuhn) Gray;father-in-law Richard Davis; grandchildren, Scottie Lambright, Shelby Cheatwood and Abigail Cheatwood; sisters, Rita (Dennis) Myers and Sue (John) Harper; brothers, Scott and Troy Gray and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where a memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Stan Howard officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
