Diana Cheryl Jones (Atkinson)

Diana C. Jones (Atkinson), 73, passed away June 5, 2022 after an extended illness. Born in Monterey, Tennessee to Hewey and Josie (Beaty) Atkinson, she resided in Galion, Ohio for many years before relocating to the Akron area 14 years ago. Diana greatly enjoyed animals, most especially her dogs, as well as music, gardening, canning and spending time with her family.


In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by son, Shawn Jones; sister, Vicki Franks; brother-in-law, John Yeager; special dog, Chester. Diana will be sadly missed by her daughters; Randee (Dennis) Marino, Bridgette (Mike) Quaintance; grandchildren, Tiffany, Trevor, Trey, Maegan; great grandsons, Kam, Bentley; sisters, Shelia Yeager, Paula Hale; family friend, Jerry Badgley; nieces, nephews and friends.


Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Her family will have a graveside service at Fairview Cemetery in Galion, Ohio at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Diana's name to the ASPCA.
