Diane M. Bixler

Diane M. Bixler, 80, of Mogadore, passed away surrounded by family on February 19, 2018. She was born August 23, 1937 in Akron to late parents Joseph and Edith Willingham. Diane worked as a bank secretary for First Merit and retired after 20+ years of service. She was a longtime member and one time president of the ABWA, the Mogadore Jaycees and a founding member of the Mogadore PTA. Diane was a loving and caring woman, a devoted wife and a loving mother. She will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Diane is preceded in death by her brother, Joe Willingham. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Pete Bixler Sr.; children, Charles (Renee) Bixler Jr., Jodi Bixler; 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; and brother, Ron (Sharon) Willingham.

Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will take place at 10am on Saturday, February 24, 2018 with visitation from 9-10am. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Mogadore, to follow.
