Diane Ella Gaugler (Arner) of Akron, Ohio passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Akron City Hospital surrounded by her family after a brief battle with cancer.
Diane was born December 29, 1958 in Allentown, PA to the late Carl and June Arner.
Diane filled her life to the fullest with being with her family. She enjoyed the holidays and picnics with family and friends. Diane grew up in Akron, graduated from Ellet High School, where she met her high school sweetheart, Jack Gaugler, and married on July 1, 1978, just celebrating 38 years.
Diane had many special friends she worked with at the Summit County Fiscal Office.
Other than the light of her life, Jack, other survivors include her children, John, and Bonnie (Greg Scarbrough); one grandson, Luke; special mother-in-law, Donna; her siblings; her sisters-in law and brothers-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Other than her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her step-mother, Marie, and father-in-law, Tom.
Please know Diane loved everyone to the moon and back!
Funeral services will be held at the Grace Baptist Church, 704 North Firestone Blvd., Akron 44306 on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 1 PM, where family and friends may visit from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Pastor Bob Stephens will celebrate Diane's life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church in her memory. The family wishes to thank the Summa Hospice Nurses for their excellent care of Diane.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Newcomer Funeral Home-Akron.
