Diane H. Ellis Ely, age 66 of Aurora, passed away suddenly March 19, 2021.
A resident of Aurora, Diane was born in Cleveland, OH on June 22, 1954, the only daughter to the late Herbert and Helen (Niemi) Ellis.
In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her brother, Herbert Michael Ellis.
Diane will be always be loved and missed by her husband William Ely Jr., brother David (Leigh) Ellis and many nieces and nephews.
Diane's kindness and heart of gold will be remembered by all that knew her. She was a born giver and her love had no boundaries. Diane was a very proud second generation Finnish woman who was passionate about her roots and following her family genealogy. Her tender heart made her compassionate to all creatures, as she would bring home any pet who needed shelter. She was a quiet woman who surrounded herself with family and love and enjoyed traveling, whether an easy "day trip" or a week at the beach, she loved to see and experience new places. A caregiver to many, Diane was also an avid crafter who enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and knitting in her free time.
A graveside service will be held for Diane Ellis Ely on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 11:00am. All are welcome and are asked to meet at the main gate of Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg, OH at 10:45am for a short procession back to her final resting place. A reception will immediately follow the service.
