Dianne S. Shambaugh

Dianne Lenhart Shambaugh, 82, passed away on November 6, 2024, in Akron, OH. Born on October 24, 1942, to Lucille and Dean Lenhart, Dianne was a beacon of joy with a great love of life.

Dianne graduated from Ellet High School and dedicated her entire career to the City of Akron Welfare Department. Known for her cheerful spirit and loving nature, she was not just a beloved family member but also a cherished friend to many. 

Dianne was a devoted mother, always seen with a smile and known for her generosity and humor. Dianne had a special love for animals and relished shopping on QVC. Dianne was often considered a second mother by many. 

Dianne is survived by her daughter-in-law, Connie (Cameron) Shambaugh; cousin, Christie (Hinkle) Calabro; and dear friends that provided care and support during her last years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Cheryl Lenhart and her son, Mark Shambaugh, her greatest joy. 

Dianne’s loving spirit and joyful demeanor will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her. Honoring Dianne’s wishes, there will be no memorial services.
