It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dionne Lynn Deardorff, age 54, on November 22, 2024. She was born in Canton, Ohio on December 20, 1969. Her spirit of kindness and her ever-present helping hand made her a cherished friend, family member, and neighbor. She leaves behind a legacy of love, support, and unwavering presence in the lives of her children.
Dionne's greatest joy came from nurturing her children. She was their biggest supporter, always standing by them through every challenge and triumph. She was never just a spectator; she actively participated, celebrating achievements of both of her children.
Dionne will be fondly remembered for her extraordinary talent in the kitchen, especially during the holiday season, where her delightful baking of Christmas cookies became a beloved tradition among family and friends. Her kitchen radiated color and joy, a testament to her vibrant spirit and the love she poured into her creations. Each batch of cookies was not merely a treat, but an expression of her heart, infused with the warmth that only someone with such a giving personality could provide.
Known as a helping hand to those around her, Dionne was the type of person who would always lend her support, no matter the circumstance. Whether it was through her crafty projects that showcased her creative flair or her thoughtful gestures that made others feel valued, Dionne touched the lives of everyone privileged enough to know her.
Dionne is survived by her daughter Sabrina Lytle; son Shawn (Kyndra) Lytle; mother Linda (Randall) Gooden; and brother Adam (Karla) Gooden. She is also survived by her life partner Michael Lytle. She was preceded in death by her father Dana David Deardorff and brother Matthew Deardorff (Gooden).
Visitation will be held Tuesday December 3rd from 11AM- 1 PM at First Church of God, 464 Northeast Ave. in Tallmadge. Services begin at 1 PM in the church. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
As we remember Dionne, we celebrate a life lived and a heart that embraced her children with every ounce of her being. Her legacy is woven into the fabric of our shared memories-each moment served with a sprinkling of creativity, a dash of kindness, and a heaping helping of love. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
