Dolores Darlene Martyn (nee Ayala)
Dolores Darlene Martyn, 80, entered into eternal rest on December 9, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Nolan "Gene" Martyn Sr.; and parents, Michael and Maude Ayala.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Nolan G. "Butch" Martyn Jr. (Kim), Cindy Haggerty (John Davis), and Michael Martyn (Jody); sister, Jacquelyn Toney; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; daughter of the heart, Connie Slonaker; and many good and loving friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Barbara Bailey, Cheryl, and staff at Liberty Family Practice for their loving care all these years as well as the Hospice staff at Robinson Memorial, especially Shelly and Juanita.
Dolores retired from Kove Castings after over 25 years of service. She loved spending time with family during the holidays and was famous for her baking at Christmas. She also loved to crochet. She was a wonderful wife, a loving mother and grandmother and a great friend. She will be truly missed.
Visitation will be Monday, December 14, 2015 from 5-7 followed by a 7:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
