Dolores J. Maxfield, 86, of Akron, passed surrounded by family on March 20, 2018. Dolores was born on March 7, 1932 in Rittman, OH to the late Denzel and Lovina Gorby.
Dolores was an animal lover who enjoyed her dog, Heidi. She was artistic, and enjoyed drawing and painting. She cherished family gatherings and Bible studies.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Maxfield; brothers, Mervin and Delbert Gorby; daughter, Mary Coleman; son, Jerry Martin; son-in-law, Carl Beatty; and great-granddaughter, Ashley Rankin and infant son, Zenith Isaiah.
Dolores will be deeply missed by her daughters, Melinda Beatty, Bonnie Burchett, and Kay (Michael Reed)Hopkins; step-daughters, Margaret Kellar and Vicki Maxfield; grandchildren, Jen, Cheryl (Michael), Carla (Steve), Aimee (Tim), Carl (Charlotte), David (Angela), Matthew and Christopher Martin; and 9 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place at the Kingdom Hall 2180 Martin Rd, Mogadore, OH 44260 on Wednesday April 4, 2018 at 11am. Inurnment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
