Dolores Stoper Forquer
Dolores Stoper Forquer, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, 83, of Stow, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Summa Akron City Hospital with her family at her side on December 7, 2013.
Dolores ("Dee") was born in Brookfield, Ohio on March 6, 1930, to the late Louis and Pauline Stoper (Gray). She was a graduate of Philippi High School in Philippi, WV, Class of 1948. She was a member of Victory Life Church and retired from the Hudson Brown Derby.
She is survived by her children, James Forquer Sr. (Madonna) of Green, OH, Paul Forquer (Catherine) of Troutman, NC, and Sandra Price (William) of Lynchburg, VA. Her daughter, Linda Forquer passed away in 2000. Thirteen grandchildren: James Forquer Jr. (Lisa), Meghan Forquer, Lauren Forquer, Todd Forquer, Jana Price (Philip), Destini Price, Will Price, Cullen Price, Logan Price, Lindy Price, Joshua Forquer, Joseph Kovalesky (Cara), Sam Powell; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Patricia Tucker (Mick, deceased); brothers, Richard Stoper (Marianne), Lewis Stoper (DeVanna) and Alan Gray (Elaine), along with many nieces and nephews.
Dolores will be remembered for her quick wit, unwavering love, and ability to unintentionally light up a room with her hilarious stories about Brownton, West Virginia! Her constant love and support will forever be cherished by everyone fortunate enough to have known her. She truly was one of a kind and our lives will never be the same without her.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Pebble Creek and also the ICU and Palliative Care units at Summa Akron City Hospital for their care of Dolores. Calling hours will be Tuesday December 10 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Cyndie Rogers officiating. Burial at Crown Hill Cemetery.
